한국은 KF-21 보라매 전투기의 첫 번째 시제기를 인도네시아에 전달하기로 했습니다. 이는 양국이 공동으로 개발하고 있는 KF-21 사업의 일환입니다.

Korea has decided to deliver the first prototype of the KF-21 Boramae fighter jet to Indonesia. This is part of the KF-21 joint development project between the two countries.

가치이전의 규모는 인도네시아가 KF-21 개발에 부담한 6천억원 수준입니다. 이에는 시제기 한 대와 기술이전, 개발자료 제공 등이 포함됩니다.

The scale of the technology transfer is around 600 billion won, which is the amount that Indonesia has contributed to the KF-21 development. This includes one prototype aircraft, technology transfer, and the provision of development materials.

원래 합의에는 시제기 1대 양도가 포함되어 있었지만, 인도네시아의 개발 분담금이 대폭 감소하면서 정부는 이를 재검토했습니다. 결과적으로 시제기 1대 전달이 유지되었지만, 전체 가치이전 규모는 1조6천억원에서 6천억원으로 줄어들었습니다.

The original agreement included the transfer of one prototype, but as Indonesia's development contribution was significantly reduced, the government reviewed this decision. Ultimately, the transfer of one prototype was maintained, but the overall scale of the technology transfer was reduced from 1.6 trillion won to 600 billion won.

이번에 전달되는 시제기는 단좌기로, 주로 AESA 레이더와 공중급유 시험에 활용될 예정입니다. 2023년 5월 첫 비행에 성공한 이 시제기는 앞으로 다양한 성능 검증 시험에 투입될 것입니다.

The prototype being delivered is a single-seat aircraft, which will primarily be used for testing the AESA radar and air-to-air refueling capabilities. This prototype, which successfully completed its first flight in May 2023, will be used for various performance verification tests going forward.

인도네시아는 전체 분담금 6천억원 중 5천360억원을 이미 납부했으며, 올해 6월까지 나머지 640억원을 납부할 계획입니다. 이번 가치이전을 통해 양국은 KF-21 전투기 개발 협력을 더욱 강화할 것으로 기대됩니다.

Indonesia has already paid 536 billion won out of the total 600 billion won contribution, and plans to pay the remaining 64 billion won by June this year. Through this technology transfer, the two countries are expected to further strengthen their cooperation in the development of the KF-21 fighter jet.
