Gives a reason the listener didn't know: 'because ~ (you see)'.

Examples

저는 고기를 안 먹어요. 채식주의자거든요.

I don't eat meat. You see, I'm a vegetarian.
창문 좀 닫아 주세요. 추워요. 저 감기에 걸렸거든요.

Please close the window. I'm cold. You see, I caught a cold.
내일 못 만날 것 같아요. 출장이 있거든요.

I don't think I can meet tomorrow. You see, I have a business trip.
그 영화 꼭 보세요. 정말 재미있거든요.

You should definitely watch that movie. It's really interesting, you see.
